3's Company

Last Sunday we went back to Kajang after almost 3 months of not going back there. The kids really looked forward to that. I guess they really enjoyed messing up the house which they cannot do at their grandparents' house. Nobody will nag them in Kajang, Ayah and Mama could not be bother to nag them all the times. They can do whatever they want as long as they keep things back after playing and the house is accident proof( we try to make it as accicent proof as we can!!!)

Sunday afternoon, Amli and I decided to take afternoon nap in front of the telly, we sort of force the kids to join us but they just refused to listen to us. I gave up, and let them played.

Tasya being the eldest and the mastermind of them all decided to play in our bedroom, she immediately asked the brother and sister to follow her. Imagine that Adriana who is only 10 months old crawling to follow the siblings. The funny thing is that Tasya and Azrai will wait for Adriana, and they actually played with her. They will make sure that the games they played can actually accomodate all of them. Sometimes, Amli and I will pretend that we are asleep but quietly looking at them play. It makes me sad and proud to see that they enjoy themselves playing together and they really love each other. When Adriana cried, Tasya will feed her and Azrai will looked for Adriana's pacifier, if he cannot find Adriana's, he will just give his to her. When they are hungry, Tasya will go to the fridge and take all the food and feed Azrai and Adriana. There was a time when Tasya wanted to give Adriana grapes, upon hearing this I quickly wake up and told her no that Adriana might choke because Adriana does not have any teeth yet. I realized that Tasya is a big girl now, she can really look after Azrai and Adriana if she wanted to, and only to certain extant. Cannot expect her to look after them all the time. But when you want to have a 5 minutes break, Tasya can help you.

At about 5.30pm, after 2 hours of playing, all of them fell asleep in front of the telly. I then went to my room to look at the damage- it makes me want to scream but then I remembered what a fun they had and I just clean up the mess.

Family Holiday Part II

After we got back from Lumut, I was on 2 days leave. Tuesday was an ordinary day for us. Azrai and I took Tasya to BC for her English class, and after that we went to KLCC. Things doing ok. Wednesday Amli was on MC, he got food poisoning. Thursday is my first day to work after a long break.

Wake up in the morning as usual, check on the kids and felt that Azrai has a slight temperature- check his temperature, true enough it was 38.2. It is official that he has a fever, and with Azrai I have to be very-very careful because he has the history of having fit,so called office and asked for emergency leave. Really looked after him that day, he does not want to eat or drink-got really worried because he looked tired. When Amli got back form work we went to see our usual doctor, and the doctor dignosed Azrai with tonsilitis and to make it worse the tonsil has ulcer on it. That is the reason he does not want to eat and drink. The doctor gave us medication and told us that it should take him 2 days to get well providing that he takes the medication on time and with the right amount. The thing is that Azrai hates medicine, so it is challenge for us to give him his medication. That night, his temperature is really high, it was 38.9, I did not sleep the whole night.

The next day, we decided to take him to GIMC, called office to ask for the GL. Went to GIMC, have a nice 'encounter' with the front of house staff(this should be told in another day/page/blog). Went to see a nice doctor( Dr.Patrick Chan), same dignosed but it's getting worse. Dr. Patrick gave us 2 options either take him home but make sure that he takes his medication( which we know is quite a challenge for us) or admit him to the hospital. After a while we decided to admit him knowing that we cannot make him take his medication.

He was admitted to GIMC on Friday about 12 noon, we requested for single room since we know he will not be a pleasent boy when he's ill. Unfortunately single room is not available. We only managed to get the 2 bedded room. No choice, have to take the room. Once admitted, the nurse went to Azrai and put the name bracelet on his hand, the moment the nurse did that-he cried and screamed and asked us to take that thing off him. Told him cannot and try to reason with him?? Imagine try to reason with 2 years old kid, finally we cannot take it any more-quietly we take off the bracelet off his hand. Then it's time for the nurse to put the needle( is this correct???) on his left hand. We know that this will be a very big challenge for the nurses and of course us, he cried and screamed as loud and he can until the whole floor can heard him. Form that moment he was not in a good mood, he cried and cried and keep repeating "akit..akit...", it's gettinmg worse when they have to put the drip in-this means that he cannot move more than 1 feet from the bed. This irritate him more. He cried even more until I have to ask the nurse is it possible to take the drip off from his hand for a while. At first the nurse was a bit reluctant but after seeing Azrai and his trantrum, she finally agreed.

About 5 pm, Amli went back to get Tasya and Adriana so that Azrai can play with them for a while and forget about his bandage hand. When Azrai saw his siblings, he was so happy and he forget about his hand. But when they want to go back, he started screaming and wanted to go with them. We have no choice but have to let Tasya and Adriana stay with us in the hospital. Fortunately for us, about this time also our neighbour was moved to another room, this leave the whole room to ourselves. The kids really have a great time, they were running and playing with each other. Azrai even forget about his pain.

That night, at 1.30am, Azrai threw a very bad tantrum. He got irritated because of the drip, he cannot moved and I think he was feeling very uncomfortable with the fever and with his throat. It was really bad until we have to call the nurse and asked her to take off the drip and if possible gave him something to make him sleep. The nurse looked hesitated for a while, according to her she needs to ask the doctor's permission before she can do that. So, she called the doctor at 1.30am and the doc ok for her to take off the drip and gave him something to calm him down.

The next morning, when the doctor came for his round, he told me that he will not put in the drip, they will only do that when Azrai is asleep(which is a relief for me!!). That day which is on Saturday, Azrai was much better, he ate and drank and played with those who came and visited him. Around noon, the nurse told us that there will be a new patient for the next bed, I started worrying; what if Azrai threw another tantrum like the night before?? Poor the neighbput-have to listen to him crying and screaming. I asked the nurse of the avaibility of the single room, they told me that the only single room available is the Deluxe room which is RM 300 per night. After much thinking and considering, we decided to go for it rather than make other people hate us. So, off we go to the deluxe room, with 3 kids. It's like a family holiday for us minus the swimming pool.

It is like a holiday package- 3 days 2 nights-meals included, mind you all 3 meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner for the whole family and the best of all is that it's fully covered by my company!!!!!!

Family Holiday Indeed!!!!!

Family Holiday Part I

Last 2 weeks, during the long weekends we went to Lumut to attend my cousin engagement ceremony, since it was a long weekend we decided to combine the so call official duty with pleasure. We booked a 3 rooms apartment so that the whole family(the garndparents, uncles, aunties and cousins)can join us. The rest of the group went to Lumut on Saturday, this included Tasya and Azrai since Mama have boogie night that night, Ayah cannot handle all 3 kids by himself( so he claimed-I think that is his trick!!!!)

So, off they go and that left only Adriana at home. Adriana was not feeling too well-she down with fever, but this is Adriana, she was so quiet even when she is not feeling well. We gave her medication and hope that the fever will go away by the time for us to go to Lumut. Unfortunately, this did not happen, it became worse, she started having rashes all over her face. At first we thought it is the allergy reaction-probably she cannot take progesic(type of paracatemol).

When we arrived at Lumut, we found put that Azrai had a great fall the night before. He was jumping up and down on the bed and he fell. There was a big lump on his forehead. When he fell, he just cry for a while an then went to bed but the moment he saw us-suddenly he has changed to a very diffrent boy, he cried and cried and he does not want anybody else but me.

What we planned to be a peaceful holiday has turned out to be a very hectic holidays, Azrai with his lump on his forehead and Adriana with her face full of rashes. Bye-Bye beach and hello doctors.

Mystery Nusantara Part Deux

Continue from the previous post, finally managed to see the wise man, according to him, there is something or someone or weird thing hovering over Azrai. And that is why Azrai keep crying at night.

It all started when he was warded at Kajang Hospital last November. He had a fever and that led to him having a fit. We were so panicked and rushed him to the nearest hospital which is Kajang Hospital. He was warded and his bed was next to the window, and if you are not familiar which government hospital, let me tell you about it. Most of government hospitals are old hospitals, there been there for at least 30 years( and this consider new hospital). Kajang hospital has been there as long as I can remember, and there is a rumours that the hospital was used by the Japanese to kill people during the war. It was very very old hospital and at night the atmosphere was very eerie. My poor boy was sleeping next to the window. No wonder something or someone been hoovering him afterward.

So far after the meeting with the wise man, we have very peaceful nights and hoping that this will continue. Now I'm teaching them to read a bit of 'doa' before they go to sleep, and Tasya is in charge of that. So, every night she will go to all her siblings and read the 'doa' to them.
