City Break
Last weekends was a long break for us. We decided to have a short break to let go of all the stress, and since I'm working last Saturday, we decided to go for a short break to PD. I made the accomodation arrangement thru my sister in law who is working with Tourism Malaysia hoping to get a nice discount and special treatment. Well, initially I did get the discount but there was a problem when I wanted to check in( we get back to that later)
I booked our holidays at Tiara Beach Resort. We went to PD on Sunday with a stopover for breakfast at R&R Seremban. It was so crowded with people like us. The kids had nasi lemak and since it was kindda late for them(we usually have our breakfast before 9.30am) so it was easy to feed them especially Azrai who ate the whole plate of nasi lemak.
After that we continued our journey to PD. We can only check in at the hotel at 3pm, so we decided to pay Izad a visit(who also was there). She was staying in Selesa Resort which was by the seaside. So, the kids had a great time swimming in the sea, unfortunately Adriana was not in a mood to swim and she cried if you want to put her down.
After that, we decided to go for lunch. Amli went and asked local people which is the best place to have lunch. He got the name and the direction and off we went. Found the place and at the first glance it looked appealing. We went inside but when we look around it was full with flies, turned us off immediately. Went around and around and finally we settled for Mamak restaurant yan tak sedap langsung.
At 3 we went to Tiara Beach Resort, Amli went to the check in counter and to our surprised my name is not there!!! Called my Sister in law who then called her contact(who is the sales executi working there) and according to her my name should be there. I kept calling my sister in law, she then kept calling her contact and her contact kept calling the office. This went on for about an hour. After all the huha we did not get the special discount. It's either we go back or we pay the full price, since we were there already so decided to pay the full amount.
We only there for 1 night, so we really have to make full use of the facilities. We checked into our room, we quickly changed to our swimming gear then off we go to the pool. My kids are not used to swim at the pool, so they were quite scared in the beginning. It took me and Amli quite a long time to make them explored the pool. After a while Azrai was ok, Tasya was still scared and Adriana was too. I had to hold Adriana if not she will started crying.
We were in the pool until almost 6pm, after that we went out for dinner and we had a very nice ikan bakar. Azrai was so tired and at first he was not in a mood to eat his dinner. But I know I have to make him eat otherwise he gonna to have a bad mood all night.
The next day, Azrai woke up every early and he went out with Amli to explore the place. He came back very excited becuase he found the games room. After breakfast we went to the games room. Azrai went straight to the car racing games, Tasya did not fancied any of the games but then I saw the karoake room. We went there and she was hooked there. It was very expensive room. Each games required 2 token which is RM1.00. Each song is RM1.50. So I think i spend almost RM10 for the half an hour that we were there. Just before we left Adriana cried and she pointed the racing games to me. I put her there and she just took the wheel and she was so happy. It was a hard task for me to take her away from it.
After that immediately we went to the pool, as before only Azrai was ready to explore the pool, but still he did not dare with the slides until I pretended to be scared of it and I need him to hold me. Only after that he wanted to and after that he cannot stop trying the slides, unfortunately I had to be with him.
We have to check out from the hotel at 12 noon,so not much time left for Azrai to explore all the slides. Just before we left the pool he saw a bigger slide and he begged me to take him there. We only had enough time for 1 round and he was over the moon.
Overall it was avery good break for all of us. Amli and I enjoy the break form the city and the kids enjoy the pool and the games. Maybe we should do this more often...maybe.

Looks like you guys had a great time. Anyway, I am suprised to read that your kids are afraid of the pool. Shouldn't budak-budak bandar be afraid of the river/sea instead?
Wow! the place looked very the happening one. It's great kan when you can get out and have fun and not think about work?
