Miss Sensitive

I noticed that Tasya nowadays has become a very sensitive little lady. She will 'merajuk' is she thinks that you did not care about her, and will sit at one corner crying until you went and pujuk her. Maybe she thinks that she is getting less attention compared to Abang and Adik. If I said to adik that I love adik, she will then ask me do i love her? Sometimes just to tease her, I will tell her no, then she will merajuk even more. We used to teased her alots, we tell her that she is actually adopted, her real parents were this Indian couple who already have too many kids and cannot afford her, so we took her in. She get really annoyed with us if we tell this to her.

Her 6th birthday is this coming Saturday,and I have to work on that day( I HAVE TO)so I told her that I don't think that we can do her party on that day since I'm working and my sister also working so nobody to handle her party. She started crying and said nobody loves her anymore, nobody cares about her. I suggested to her that we do her party on Sunday, she said her birthday is on Saturday and not Sunday, so what Mama have to do? Mama have to cari caterer to cook for that day. Now, tengah pening kepala to carik caterer. Then another headache to clean up the place, we have to do at my parents' house because our house cannot cater for all the toks and neneks. So, this saturday, looks like I have to go back earlier from work, rushing back, set up up the party and then entertain the guests and oh..before all of these, have to go and prepare her party pack to all her friends at school, have to go and order the cake( I asked her yesterday, can we not do the cake this year?) You can guess her rplied right?, all her friends have cake and they even brough the paper plate and the cup to give to all her friends-alamak...manyak susah la.

So, tomorrow instead of veg out in front of the telly watching the match, I have to go outside and buy stuffs for her party. Hopefully after this she will not be Miss Sensitive any more!!!

This conversation I had with my son last week. On our way back home from my parents house, Amli wanted to go to Carrefour or to be specific he wanted to go to Deli France to but a french loaf. Before going there, he made Azrai promised to us that Azrai will not ask us to buy for him another car. Reluctantly he did just that.

He then grumbled to himself saying that he does not like the bread, why should we only buy bread. I them told him that we can eat bread but can we eat his cars? He then replied that " No, we cannot eat cars". I then told him " sebab tu lah kita nak beli roti, sebab roti boleh makan" He then with his muka selamba replied" cars tu toys, mana boleh makan. Roti tu makanan sebab tu lah boleh makan".

Alamak, kena sekali dengan budak 3 years old. With him we cannot win, well with all my kids there is no way we can win an argument with them. There is always an answer coming out from them. This could be a blessing and also a curse-sebab we always lose. Does he gets his car at the end of the day? You tell me.

Both Tasya and Azrai now are with my parents. My parents took them going back kampung, since both of me and Amli are working and cannot take leave, they took the kids. At least they are going some where during this school holidays.

Every day, either I will call them or my sister will call me to report on their activities or thier mishap to me.

Yesterday, my sister called me and told me of this funny incident with Azrai. They went to my grandmother house, and they were eating durians. I know Tasya wouldn't eat durian, in fact both Tasya and Adriana does not like fruits. Full stop. But Azrai loves fruits, he loves oranges, grapes, appleas, in fact all sort of fruits. So, it was quite unusual for him not to eat durian. My grandfather then asked him, " Azrai, kenapa tak makan durian" and his replied was so unexpected that everybody were laughing when they heard his replied. He said "kita orang putih, tak makan durian!!!!"

I was like what?? Who taught him that? Tasya wants to be British now Azrai wants to be orang putih. I guess I have to install the sense of patriotism in my kids. We are Malaysian and we shoudlbe proud to be Malaysian. Kids nowadays( infact me also) take our independece and sense of nation so lightly. So, this merdeka I want to bring my kids to the Merdeka parade and let them watch it like I used to do when I was small. BUT do i really want to wake them up early in the morning and then drag them to watch the parade?? I will let you know later............(if we are actually doing this!!!)

Red Spotted Monster

Last Sunday, Abang had this thing, I'm not sure what you call it in English but we call it "gegata"(well, my family call it anyway). This is when your whole body is full of red spot and it is very ichy. We only noticed it at night, when he was about to go to bed. Amli noticed it first-amli being amli was really exaggerated, he was like screaming for me to come down. When I came down saw it, I told him that this is 'gegata' or may be bed bug!!! I have no ideas how he got that. It cannot be allegies because so far he is not allergic to anything.

We then put callmine lotion all over his body, that night was the terible night for both of us-we could not sleep. He kept crying and asked us to scratch his body. Knowing Azrai his trantrum is something. I was lucky that the next day I'm in afternoon shift-meaning that I can wake up a little bit late.

Next morning, woke up late at about 8.30am. Tasya was so late-decided not to send her to school-give her one more extra holiday. Went and checked Abang, OMG the spotted were still there and it has became worse. His whole body was covered with red spotted, as big as US map. Decided to bring him to Hospital-went to Naluri, while waiting for his turn, we told him that his face look so horrible, the red spot has turned him into a monster. He then make a monster voice and said that "i am monster!!!"

Went to see the doctor, he was disgoned as having rashes due to viral infection. We have tomonitor him because if after medication and things got worse he has to be admitted if not if might attack his lung!!! And i thought it was only gegata!!!. Have to take the day off, went back and monitor him. After his taken his medication, he was ok, and at night the spot was completely gone. Alhamdullilah for that-otherwise have to bercamping in hospital like last time.

Audition Part 2

Last Saturday was Tasya's audition for MMA. We are supposed to be there at 11am. Arrived at Astro 5 mins to 11, went to the guard house, and the guard showed us the so call direction. He indicated that you have to go around and went in from another entrance, which we did but it was locked, went again and the same man gave the same direction. So, we thought may be we missed it the first time, went there again, it was locked. At that time it was 11.10am. Again we went to the same guard-this time I was reday to fire him if he gave me the same direction. Went down, asked the guard nicely, and then he told me that we are supposed to entry via Technology Park Malaysia( which by the way is the other side of Astro!!) Can't they tell us earlier like when they called us to inform us of the day and time??

Went to the correct entrance, asked the guard where is the place-the guard told us"pusing kanan-sampai nampak pokok nangka, lepas tu pusing kiri" simple enough right, but what the hell pokok nangka looks like??? Both me and my husband orang bandar ma- the only nangka that I now comes in the plastic bag!!!

Went around and around looking for pokok nangka-suddenly we saw a group of people also looking round and round-decided to follow them-eureka!!! we found ASTRO!!!!

Arrived there at about 11.15am-there was already huge of people there. Registered Tasya, her number was 114!!! Imagine 113 people before her. We waited and waited with huge crowd of people, some with screaming kids, some with vey the active kids, like Pak Abas would say "Macam-macam ada"

There were times that I felt like giving up, asked Tasya either she wants to go back or nit but she said she do not mind waiting, she looked so determined. I just waited with her. Luckily we did not bring Abang and Adik along otherwise it would become Macam-MAcam Adik/Abang!!!

Finally at about 3.30pm, she was called in. Before this we kept telling her that do not expect Aznil to be there, surprise!surprise! Aznil was there to interviewed the kids. Seeing Aznil, she was godsmacked, she lost all her charm. Aznil complimented her on her on her photo, she was so happy. Then Aznil asked her what she wants to be when she grow up. When I heard this I thought sure dapat punya-I'm sure she will replied penyanyi or pelakon( because that what she kept telling us everytime we asked her what she wants to be) but to my surprised, she answered " cikgu". I was like..what??? Then Aznil asked again" cikgu apa"-she said "cikgu bahasa melayu"!!! Haiya!!! Habislah segala peluang-tak outstanding langsung!!

But I guess she had fun that day. In the car we asked her what if she did not get in? She said..I cannot remember her exact word but she said something like tak dea exclamation mark!!! I asked her why, she said sebab tak excited!!! She said that she will not be dissapointed if she did not get in but if she does she will very HAPPY!!!!!

Codile

Adriana celebrated her 2nd birthday on 25/07/2006. She had 3 birthday celebration, 1 on 25/07/06 with my parents, 2nd on the 30th July with my in-laws and the final one was on the 5th August. I gave her the Fisher Price-crocodile pop up . It's for her to strenghten her motor skills, she is supposed to stuck up the small square on on top of another. She is more interested in thorowing that things rather than stuck up, but ok as long as she is enjoying her present.

One night, while she was with it, I then talked to her " adik, main crocodile?-mana crocodile adik?" I then noticed that she is tryingto say something. I picked her up-looked straight into her eyes and the said "CROCODILE" to her, she then replied to me "codile". I repeated the same word, and she said the same word again!!

I was so over the moon-Amli was no there when this happened. So, the next day when Amli was at home and Adriana was playing with her crocodile, I repeated the same thing again, and she did say codile.

That was her first word-codile. Not mama, not Ayah but codile-funny but the best part is that at last she said something that is actually a word. She has a long way to go but no matter what we will be there for her. We love her and always be by her side.

Move over Siti Nurhaliza, here comes Nor Natasya

Earlier this month, there were announcements in ASTRO regarding the audition for kids for Macam-Macam Aznil(MMA). I asked Tasya either she will be interested in it or not, of course she will say YES.

I then posted her last year concert photo, and then told her that I already send it on 03/08/2006. She then keep bugging me when she will appear in MMA, I told her that she has to go for an audition first, if she is passed the audition only then she will appear in MMA.

Today, I have a missed call from my handphone, I tried to call the number back but it was busy. Then my husband called me and told me that Astro called him and told him that they want Tasya to go for the audition this Saturday, I was so shocked, I never thought that she will be called up for the audition.

When I told her she was so happy, she then told me that she was chosen to do the speech for her school concert. I was proud of her, she is so outspoken and she loves all this glamorous.

If she really loves this field-I am going to be a very supportive mother and let her do it, then hopefully she will be successful as Siti Nurhaliza..kaya beb, but not the part of marrying Datuk K!!!
