Ambiklah Orang gaji

As told by Amli to me.

One fine day, Amli was driving with the kids and out of the blue, Tasya asked Amli this question.

Tasya: Ayah, ambiklah orang gaji.
Amli:Kenapa Tasya cakap macam tu?
Tasya: Kalau kita ada orang gaji, ayah dan mama taklah selalu penat. Nie Mama dengan Ayah selalu jea penat bila balik dari kerja.

Amli was so shocked to hear this statement from her. Imagine 5 years old kid can come out with this strong statement. Amli then asked her, who asked her to say this. She said nobody, she just thinks that having a maid will be good for the family.

Maybe she is right, but this is a dilemma that Amli and I were having. Do we really want a maid. Having a maid definitely help us in term of taking care of the kids when we are working and keeping the house cleans but do we want to sacrifice our privacy for that. And do not get me started about the risk of having a foreign maid. I know not all of them are bad but the stories that I heard from my friends about their maids make me think twice before employing one. I don't know but maybe one day I will hire a mid but not now.
